BAFTA East Coast 2008 Board Election ResultsThe results of the recent Board Elections have been announced by Gillian Rose, Chairman of the Board of BAFTA East Coast. Two new Board Members, Catrin Brace and Charles Tremayne were elected by the Voting Members of BEC who also re-elected three of the current Board, Neil Benedict, Susan Margolin and Susan Wagner as well as Secretary of the Executive Committee, Vernon Chu. Worldwide Freeze on BAFTA Membership - behind the freezeIN 2005 BAFTA announced a worldwide freeze on Membership. This cap still stands in 2008 and is unlikely to change. As we go into the annual renewals for BAFTA East Coast Academy voters, we are republishing the original announcement in order to remind all voters and those who would like to become voting members of the background to the 2005 decision which followed a dramatic increase in membership over the prior four years.
