Catherine Branscome. Board of Directors

Before setting up her global distribution company in 1999, Catherine was the Vice President of International Distribution for GoodTimes Entertainment in New York.

During her four and a half years at GoodTimes, Catherine oversaw the international division’s operations and headed up television and video sales of live action children’s films and over 40 animated programs (fairy tales, bible stories, and well-known children’s literature).

Catherine raised a significant portion of the $ 10 million budget for the 1998/1999 international hit - RUDOLPH THE RED-NOSED REINDEER: THE MOVIE (with John Goodman as the voice of Santa Claus, Whoopi Goldberg as the Evil Ice Queen) through negotiating pre-sale contracts with television networks and leading video buyers across Europe,.

Between 1994-1995, Catherine managed the Los Angeles offices of Myriad Pictures, representing a catalogue of over 50 music and documentary television specials to networks worldwide, including to the A & E Network in the U.S.

Catherine headed up the Los Angeles office of British company Dandelion Distribution from 1992-1994. As Director of Sales and International Co-productions, she secured a co-production series deal with the U.S. Discovery Channel for the prime time documentary series PACIFICA: TALES OF THE SOUTH SEAS.

As Executive Director of International Sales for Crystal Sky Communications from 1990-1992, Catherine ran all operations for the international department while leading the sales team in selling over 25 direct-to-video and television movies.

Catherine started off in distribution as International Sales Manager at Odyssey Distributors from 1988-1990. Her presales of theatrical films included: THE HANDMAID’S TALE (Faye Dunaway, Robert Duvall), Q & A (Nick Nolte, Armand Assante), and AUNT JULIA AND THE SCRIPTWRITER (Barbara Hershey, Keanu Reeves).

In the mid-‘80s, Catherine wrote, produced and executive produced television shows for the Denver Center for the Performing Arts, several productions won prestigious awards including one Cable Ace and an Emmy.

Catherine holds a B.A. degree from George Mason University in Virginia, and completed graduate work as a Producer Fellow at the American Film Institute in Los Angeles. For the past six years, she has been a Director of the Board for the British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA – East Coast), and she also regularly volunteers for the Makor Group, reading with elementary school children at a homeless shelter, on Monday evenings.
